Pt. R. V. Sheshadri Gawai was a saintly figure in Indian classical music and one of the rare visionaries who helped introduce and nurture Hindustani music in the largely Carnatic-dominated cultural landscape of Bangalore during the 1970s. He also founded and published a monthly music journal titled GAYANA GANGA, which unfortunately went out of print in the 1990s and gradually faded from public memory.

In a humble effort to revive and preserve this invaluable legacy, we undertook an extensive research and archiving initiative. During this journey, we discovered and documented over 400 Kannada compositions, many of which had been forgotten over time. We are delighted to share that the first volume of this recompilation has now been published and was officially released on February 1, 2026.
